Vintage Wooden Stomper - Rwanda FR85
A tall grain stomper from Rwanda, hollowed out by hand from a single tree trunk and once used to pound grain. Years of use have given the wood a deep patina, and the metal fittings and repairs from its working life are still in place.
We have turned it into a statement planter. At 130cm tall it stands on the floor as a piece in its own right, and it comes planted with the Alocasia shown.
A one-off: no two stompers share the same shape, patina or repairs.
