An authentic Showa cloth cushion from the Democratic Republic of Congo — Showa is a celebrated form of Kuba raffia textile. The cut-pile cloth is handwoven by Kuba men and embroidered by women, finished so cleanly that no stitching shows on the back.
Its intricate geometric pattern reflects a tradition so valued the cloth was once used as currency. Each piece is genuinely unique, with minor handcrafted imperfections adding to its charm.
