A milk container hand-carved by the Turkana people of northern Kenya, traditionally used to store and carry milk. Goat leather is worked in as lids, carrying straps and adornments, adding both function and character. The wonderful patina comes from the age and use of the piece.
This piece is open — bottomless and with no top — making it a striking sculptural vessel. Genuine, vintage and one of a kind.
Size: approx. 30cm H × 16cm diameter.
