  • Pressed Tin Ceiling Tile Mirror (RW10)

Pressed tin ceiling tiles originated in the 1880s as an affordable way to dress up a room's ceiling, made to emulate high-end decorative plaster. Here, a gorgeous antique tile has been re-used as the frame of this mirror. Thanks to the age of the tiles, the paint is cracked and chipped, exposing the tin in places and adding wonderful character.

Originally stamped out of steel and known as "steel ceilings," the panels were later plated in tin to slow down rusting.

As these are handmade from genuine antique tiles, the pattern and colour of the frame vary from mirror to mirror, making each one unique.

    Size: approx. 58cm × 58cm.
