Preserved Moss Art (Victorian Frame) FR87

An 1800s ceiling frame, marked with time and dressed in moss. Preserved bun moss is mounded across a bespoke Victorian ceiling-press frame, its original paint and plaster telling a century of history behind the green — a true one-off statement, zero maintenance and endlessly textural.

Handmade one-of-a-kind Zero maintenance 100% preserved moss 58 × 58cm
The detailsHandmade with 100% preserved bun moss on a reclaimed Victorian ceiling-press frame. Zero maintenance — no watering, no light. For interior use. Approx. H 58cm × W 58cm × D 3cm.
The frameThese cast ceiling-press frames date to the 1800s, when they decorated Victorian ceilings, and are sourced in South Africa. Each carries spots of original paint and plaster from generations of overpainting — so no two are ever the same.

Why preserved moss?
Sustainably sourced and treated to keep its softness and colour, preserved moss holds its lush, living look for years with no care at all.

Made by hand by our in-house moss artist — the piece you see is the one you'll receive. Commissions welcome, including moss set into a frame of your own; just get in touch.
