    A hand-carved Namji (also known as Namchi) double doll from Cameroon — two beaded figures joined as one striking piece. Carved from African rosewood and dressed in multicoloured beads with cowrie shells, coins, metal and leather, each side unique in stance, face and beadwork.

    Traditionally these are fertility dolls, given to a bride at her wedding and carried as a good-luck charm. Once she has a child, the doll is kept on the family altar or passed down to her daughter.

    A bold, tactile piece with real presence — a natural focal point on a shelf or mantel.
