A Benin bronze ox from the Edo people of the Benin Kingdom in Nigeria, cast by the traditional lost-wax method so each piece is unique, with finely worked detail across the bronze.
Historically, Benin bronzes signified currency and status, their worth held in both the metal and the casting. A small decorative cast to sit on a shelf, desk or mantel.
