    Lega Mask - Congo 42.1

    The Lega mask is symbolic of the Bwami society of Lega people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.  The masks play an important role in their society relations and roles.  The masks are a simple design but embody a multitude of complex meanings such as dances and proverbs.
