These finely beaded sashes are symbols of the owner's spiritual position, worn in public ceremonies by Ifa priestesses. Made by hand using thousands of tiny glass beads — the same beads used in Yoruba royal chairs and crowns — each takes many weeks to create, with the beads intricately placed onto Ashoke cloth in animal and geometric patterns.
Can be hung on a wall as a piece of wall art, or displayed on the stand that comes with it.
Size: H 146cm x W 20cm. Base depth: 20cm.
