A Benin bronze spoon from the Edo people of the Benin Kingdom in Nigeria, cast by the traditional lost-wax method so each piece is unique. The handle is finely detailed with patterns typical of the region's bronze work.
More a ceremonial and decorative object than an everyday utensil — lovely displayed on a shelf, leant against a wall or set within a collection.
