A vintage Maselo basket, woven using the same techniques as the Makenge baskets of the Mbundu and Lozi people of Zambia. Made from the fine, dyed roots of the Makenge tree, with recycled plastic strips woven through to create the colourful patterns — a traditional way of repairing and extending the life of older baskets.
