Vintage Lozi Drum - Zambia
A vintage drum, hand-carved by the Lozi people of Zambia. Tall drums like this — often called mwamwa or mufula — were traditionally used to announce events and send messages across distances.
Carved from a single piece of solid wood, with finely detailed work and the rich patina that comes with age. A striking decorative piece with genuine cultural history, lovely standing alone as a sculptural object.
