Lega Legged Mask - 64.2
A hand-carved Lega mask from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with two carved legs reaching from the corners — an unusual, dynamic form. The Lega are known for the masks of their bwami society, used in the teaching and initiation that guide members through its ranks.
A characterful sculptural piece for a wall or shelf.
