A Benin bronze warrior figure from the Edo people of the Benin Kingdom in Nigeria, cast by the traditional lost-wax method — a wax model encased in clay, melted out, then filled with molten bronze — so each piece is unique, with finely worked detail across the bronze.
Historically, Benin bronzes signified currency and status, their worth held in both the metal and the casting. A small collectable piece for a shelf or display cabinet.
