A Mangbetu clay pot from Tanzania, hand-built in the traditional way. Vessels like this were everyday objects in rural communities — used to carry water, store food and milk, cook, and serve beer — made wherever good clay could be found.
Now a characterful decorative piece, its hand-formed shape and earthy finish make it a lovely standalone vessel or display pot.
