Ethiopian Goat Charmer - 53.3
A hand-carved wooden goat charmer from the Ethiopian highlands, traditionally strung around the neck of livestock by nomadic pastoralists so the rhythmic, hollow sound of its tiered wooden clappers helped track and protect the herd.
Strung on hand-twisted natural fibre rope, the amber-toned wood is polished smooth from years of handling. Presented on a black metal gallery stand.
