A hand-carved mask from the Dogon people of Mali, worked from indigenous wood. Dogon masks portray a wide cast of characters — hunters, warriors and healers, alongside animals, birds and abstract figures — each carrying deep significance within Dogon ceremonial life.
Beyond that cultural meaning, it stands on its own as a striking sculptural piece, bringing the spirit of African tradition to a wall or shelf.
