A hand-woven Buhera basket from Zimbabwe
Hand-woven by women of the Buhera district, on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, from local river reeds traditionally used to store grain. Each is shaped entirely by hand, so small irregularities in form are part of the character — an organic, sculptural piece for the home.
Painted with a black striped pattern over the natural reed. A versatile floor or storage basket, and a handsome cover for a plant pot.
