    Mangbetu clay pot circ 20th century African hand from the Democratic Republic of Congo.  The Mangbetu people are known for their elongated heads. Traditionally, babies' heads were wrapped tightly with cloth in order to give them this distinctive appearance.  Beautifully made bespoke piece of art.
