Giriama Post -Kigango


Our beautiful bespoke hand carved posts are from the Bantu-speaking people called Gigiama.  As part of their faith snd beliefs these carvings are symbols to honour the deceased.  The design is rows of triangular chip-carving patterns and a 3 dimensional head. The two triangular cut outs represent the hips of a person.
