The reeds from which these fish baskets are grown in the floodplains of the Western Province of Zambia. The yearly rains replenish the stock of bream and barbel that provide the Lozi people their sustenance, along with the rice, maize and exotic fruits that flourish in these wetlands.
They can be used as lamp shades, laundry baskets waste basket or just as a beautiful piece of hand woven sculpture indoor or outdoor use.
NOTE: Each basket will look slightly different to our image. They are hand made and no two baskets look perfectly the same so the images just show samples of our stock but are similar to each other.
Size: Bigger than 40cm on average each basket is slightly different size varying a few cm. They are hand made.
