A stunning hand stitched piece of cloth from the Yoruba people of west Africa. The Oko means “top cloth” meaning cloth of high status. The fabric is also used to make men’s gowns called agbada and hats called Fila and women’s wraps called iro.
The detail individual stitching is beautifully crafted from both sides.
