Ashoke (Aso Oke) Cloth Blue and white (108.1)

Notify me when this product is available:

A stunning hand stitched piece of cloth from the Yoruba people of west Africa.  The Oko means “top cloth” meaning cloth of high status. The fabric is also used to make men’s gowns called agbada and hats called Fila and women’s wraps called iro.

    Blue and white embroidered pattern.

NB: TO CLEAN- a very gentle HAND washing (NEVER MACHINE, on any setting) in cool water with a very gentle detergent works, but even then, dyes may not be colourfast.

Note:  This is a handmade authentic piece of material and may have some slight imperfections or slight blemishes which add to the character.  Some dye marks visible.

    Size: 200cm x 140cm
